Yes, next month I will be out of the country, away from my computer and my billable hours tracker, away from the courts, Westlaw, and the unpredicable New England weather (60 degrees yesterday, 90 today!). I've billed a gazillion hours this month...with several late nighters, one complete all nighter and another one or two on the way, so I will be ready for the R&R.
For 9 days, the husband and I will lounge on the beaches of Aruba...and I've already warned him that first three or four are going to be filled with almost nothing but sunning, sleeping, and reading. And I love nothing more than reading in a chair on the beach, with the sun on my face, sand in my toes, and the surf as my background soundtrack. I'm banning law-related books from this vaca (politics, though, is okay), so I had to search for a few of the past several years' bestselling fiction.
My friend Yummy Mummy was kind enough to lend me some books, so I will be reading, in this order:

The Mister is bringing, among other books, this one, which I am hoping to read when he's done. It's about 600 pages so I hope he gets through it quickly enough for me to read as well.

I *loved* American Wife, and I lent it to my mother, who loved it, too! You'll never think about Laura Bush the same way. Yes, it's a work of fiction, but still...you'll see.
have fun on your vacation! That looks like a fabulous reading list. I really want to read American Wife. You should review it!
an all nighter at work sounds like punishment.
What's happened since April? Have you lost interest in your blog? We miss you!
Thanks for the new blog compliments! Those books look great! Have fun reading them!
